U.S. plans to sue controversial Arizona sheriff

Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio is facing a civil lawsuit from the U.S. Justice Department over civil Rights violations. Assistant U.S. Attorney General Thomas Perez told the Maricopa county sheriffs office Wednesday, that the county's failure to address racial discrimination and other violations found by the federal government in December will go to litigation. One reason for this is that while in the sheriffs jail, there were racial slurs being used directly to their respective race.
